As far back as I can remember, I have always wanted to be an artist. When I was 12, I started oil painting. I learned how to paint still life’s, landscapes, seascapes, and animals. I took various art classes throughout high school and attended Fort Lauderdale Art School for a short time.

Later, I married, had a family, and at 21, got a job with the US Postal Service. At 23, after a divorce, I went back to oil painting, taking more lessons from several talented artists. I also sold several paintings on commission and at the Plantation Art Festival.

At 29, I remarried, went back to school at Miami Lakes Technical School for Commercial Art and received my two year certificate. In 1987 I was awarded the Illustrator/Sign maker position for the US Postal Service, South Florida District. A job I held for 17 years.. At this time my children are older and I am now able to devote my time to my first love, oil painting.

Living now in High Springs, I am enjoying being a member of the Gainesville Fine Arts Association. Through them, I have met many people and it has inspired me to get back to my first love, fine art oil painting. Please enjoy my art as much as I enjoy creating it.

Recent accomplishments include:

“Award of Excellence”

Gainesville Fine Art Association’s, 2006 Winter Member’s Art Show

Santa Fe Community College’s Presidents Gallery.

Anyone interested in purchasing or viewing more of my work or wish to commission a personal pet portrait or custom oil painting please contact me.

Enjoy!
