Artist Checklist for participating in Downtown Art Walk at SCORE
- Contact Score to hang show the beginning of the month during offices hours:
Mondays, Tuesdays 9:30 to 12:30
Closed Wednesdays
Thursdays 9:00 to Noon
Fridays 1:30 to 4:30 - Artists should leave a message with their own number. When their message is returned, the volunteer can make a specific arrangement with the Counselor On Duty for the particular day that the artist wants to come down. Artist can then verify with the assigned counselor that they will be there. Approximately eighteen spots are available for work. Three can be put on hangers over the partition. SCORE wants all artists to use the existing nails and hooks as is, don't add or take them down to keep damage to the walls minimal. SCORE needs their poster, brochure and business cards to remain visible during the art walk. Charlotte at SCORE hangs a few of her daughter-in-law's abstracts as fillers, you can take those down and put them in the back office if they are hanging in the front space.

- Check for $15.00 made out to Thuvia Martin and mailed to her at 926 NE 3rd Ave Gainesville, FL 32601 by the 15th of the month, put SCORE in the memo
- Brief artists bio. or description of art work to email: artwalkgville@gmail.com by the 15 th of the month
- Be present the last Friday of the month for art walk opening from 7-10, provide a snack and beverage, a large quantity is not needed, if you have wine also provide something non-alchoholic, Charlotte will open doors at 6:45. Pick up your packet of maps at Harold’s Frame Shop down the hall.
- Most artists are taking their show down immediately after art walk, but you can arrange your schedule as you wish then let the next artist (or Carol) know when they can hang their work
From SCORE: Our vision for the community of artists: to provide a public place to exhibit their works. We need the artist to cover the monthly expense of $15.00 to participate in the Art Walk (this can be multiple artists - 3 maximum). The artists need to do their own selling - we do not have the manpower nor legal ability to sell anything, we can only provide the space and hand out any contact information for the artist.
